Video Studio 7 Share: Create Video File Closes

My Video Studio 7 has been working finr for years on my XP machine, but today after importing a 35 minute clip that I saved as an AVI file from my camcorder it shuts down every time I try to go to Create Video File and shave it as any file type except MPEG.

When I trim the file in the edit menu it creates AVI files, but I cannot chose DV or Custom in the the Create Video file menu without the program shutting down. It works fine when I say I want it saved as an MPEG.

Any suggestions.
