VS9 - DV capture being split

Post by Xyzzy2 »

Hello!

My problem is that VS9 splits DV capture into 4GB chunks. Capture to DV-1. VS9 patch applied.
In VS8 there was no such problem.
Option Split by scene is unchecked, I capture to NTFS partition with enough disk space.

Please help,
X.

Hi X,

I presume you are not trying to set a predefined duration for the capture - so the time entry should be the default 0.00.00.00.

Since you have NTFS, I further assume you're using XP - but perhaps you could supply further system details.

No duration set (all 0s), Windows XP Home SP2.

All tape is captured, it is just split for no reason (?)

Anyone has any ideas. It's quite a nuisance... :?

Under "Preferences" the (F6) key the tab all the way to the right assigns
a temporary preview directory.
Is the directory that's assigned pointing to a "FAT32" partition?
If so change it to point to a NTFS partition if your operating system is on a FAT32 partition.

There is also a size assignment on the bottom (usually off by default).

I always uncheck the default setting and assign it to a NTFS partition.
And make sure your "Working Folder" is also pointing to a NTFS partition.

All my drives are NTFS.

Limit hard disk usage option is unchecked.

And VS9 still splits DV capture.
