Over the last week I have read every message tested and tried the trial version and based on forum members postings and faq"s I did manage to do a reasonable ok video of my grandson over the course of 12 matches.
Today I received and installed my very own VS8 with all the additional components to go along with it. I am not sure exactly how I did the last one and looking at my notes I am now totally confused. Below is what I think is safe way. I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions on how to improve on what I am doing.. Remember initially, I just want to capture what I want and put basic things with it so the end product will look ok to the average person. Once I master that a few times I will then start getting fancy.
Here is how I think I remember:
1. I will capture using DV-1
2. Once captured what I want - - I will then create a video file.
The Guide they give you says create video vile the burn to a disk and then edit . Seems stange to me you would edit before burning
3. After I create a video file I am of the opinion I should then edit
4. Is it best to edit and then resave back to the same video file and then burn or edit and burn directly.

Hi
I stick to the recommended procedure with a few additions to keep my settings in order.
The Quick Guide on my site is in three sections
1 / Capture
There is no editing information, therefore after editing is complete
2 / Create Video File
3 / Burn Dvd
This is the process I use and it works for me.
I am in the process of updating the guide with a view on Mpeg capture, but the process is the same.
Read Quick guide from the link below
Hope this helps
