Templates in the editor?

Post by Karenl39 »

I am new at this and have been attempting to use the templates in the editor instead of the wizard and I cannot find a way to do this. Is there a way??? If I try to use the wizard and want to add a video clip, everytime I try to do this, Videostudio locks up.

Thanks,

Karen

not quite sure what your trying to do Karen - if you are using the full editor you don't use any templates - you just apply/add whatever you want to the video - perhaps if you explained exactly what you want to do we may be able to be more specific.

I am trying to do several things. I did like the Christmas tree in the wizard for one movie. However, let's say I capture the video in the editor and then want to take that captured video back to the wizard, it won't let me do that. Or, I captured video in the movie wizard and then went to the editor and saved the file. I then decided I wanted to use a different template, but couldn't take the project file into the wizard to change the template without recapturing hours worth of video footage, does that make sense? I'd also like to see the templates, but am having trouble accessing them.

I don't like using the wizard it takes away all the creativity - why not just work with the main editor and add whatever overlays and effects you want in there.

I'm discovering that. Do I find all of the templates in the library? Also, I spent at least 20 minutes last night deleting each Christmas sound and Christmas frame from my timeline. Is there a way to delete them all at the same time?

Click on the first clip, then press Shift and click on the last clip - the first and last clip, and all those in between will be highlighted - right click, choose Delete.

not quite sure what templates your looking for when you use the full editor Karen - if you mean the frames etc. used in the wizard then basically you create them yourself in an application like Photo Shop or whatever you use and then import them into VideoStudio - thats the beauty of it - you make what you like and use it where and when you want to. Similar with music - you add what you want where you want - not what someone at Ulead thinks you want.

I don't think I do. Funny how, on this forum, we can meet people from all over the world, but I don't know your in-laws from little ol' Pottstown.

It is funny, isn't it? I actually did run into a relative on a genealogy forum.
