How to add a blank mask frame

Post by fuzzyfreak »

OK, follow this, here is what I did. I used the movie wizard option and selected the theatre template then decided to use VS to edit it further but you know the 1 second videos it overlays over that still image of the theatre? Notice how they use a Mask Frame (see it is ticked) but none selected! I am trying to add further 1 second overlayed vids to this but can not select a blank overlay, it forces me to use the pre-installed ones like speech bubbles and snowflakes and stuff. Even though I have the first three overlay vids using a blank overlay (i.e. appearing behind the theatre image) any further one I try to add in will not work, I have tried the copy attributes but this does not do it for me.

Please help. If you need further clarification of what it is I am trying to do then let me know.

Thanks

Tim.

I am being cheeky and trying to push this back to the top of the forum as I have had no replies - surely somebody has some ideas on this.

Many thanks in advance.

fuzzyfreak,

Edit the Classis-Still.jpg in a photoeditor like Photoshop CS, and create an alpha channel. Problem solved!

Hope this helps,
Ron

Hi rguthrie,

Thanks for the reply but that is a little too technical for me. Won't editing the classic-still.jpg affect the other overlays that use this image?

fuzzyfreak,

You'll need to save the original as another file name, like my_classic_still.jpg then edit it.
