Hey, guys. I've kinda new to video studio, so don't kill me!
I like using this program a lot to join together various different clips and also to change its format to make it smaller harddrive space. Which then comes the problem: I've been doing it fine before I had to reinstall my computer, but after I reinstalled, I've found that I can't convert other file formats to .wmv. I loved taking a large .avi and compressing it to a .wmv.
But for whatever reason, when I click on share, create video file, then custom and try to fiddle with the settings when trying to save it as a .wmv, it won't let me change it to what i want. The profile now only seem to think I have windows media player 8 and severely limits the choices I can have. I have media player 10 and don't know why it's doing that now. What can I do to fix this? Is this a simple fix?
MAN, I hope that made SOME sense to somebody who understands what I'm talking about...
wmv problem?

The version of MediaPlayer doesn't matter, it's the version of Windows Media Encoder that's installed that gives you the WMV profile options. The latest is WME9;

Personally I prefer to export an *.avi then use WME to do the encoding as it's UI is a bit better than working through the Ulead (or anyone elses) encoding dialog.
