patches

I'm downloading pacthes for VideoStudio 9.. what is Haupauge and
Terract devices ? and as far as loading the patches and updates does
it matter what order you do them in ?

You don't have to install the Hauppauge and Terracet drivers unless you have the devices. The devices are MPEG hardware encoding capture cards.

I installed the Hauppauge driver and the HDV driver the Hauppauge capture works but the HDV capture doesn't.

Just install the driver/support for the devices you have.

Those patches are for specific devices. If you have to ask what they are then you probably don't have them! There is no need for you to apply them unless you have those particular devices.

thats what I thought just wanted to double check and be sure I didn't
have something missing that was causing my DVD create to hang the
system, I have read the best practices on DVD create and will try it
again..
