Hello I have Video Studio 9 on my desk top and on my laptop. I would like to be able to work on an editing project on my desktop computer when at home because of the bigger screen. But when I am at work I would also like to continue working on the same project. Is it possible to copy a folder from Ulead on my desktop and put it into my laptop then work on the project? Then when I get home, copy a folder from my laptop back onto my desktop. If possible than which folder should I copy and where would it be located. I have been looking but unable to find it.
Many thanks
Glenn
Glenn,
You will need ALL your production assets (video files, audio files, etc.) and the project file on both computers. You can edit using "virtual" cuts in either machine and only copy the project file from one to the other. However, if you modify any of the asset files (e.g., using "Save Trimmed Video" or Create Video), you will have to copy the new file when you switch computers.
You can try using an external drive and transport it from home to work and back. (Glad you don't work for me).
Put all the videos and working folder(s) on the external drive.
I would think the libraries will have to be updated on both machines if you
use the library feature's I think.
