What kind of CD are you burning them to? I use DVD-R and they work fine in my computer and on both of my dvd players.

The boxed version comes with a VERY small manual that doesn't exlain things very well but it's better than nothing.

Can not burn DVD to play on TV

Thanks for your reply MaryLouW
I have tried the DVD-R but witout success.
It appears my computer does not recognise the DVD-R because it asks for a CD even though there is one in the drive

I think Ulead should make the Manual available to all purchasers

Magpie,

1. from your post message, it seems like you only have CD-R writer not DVD-R writer, you might have DVD-Rom to read & play DVD-rom, but, you need to have DVD Writer to burn the DVD. So, first thing to find out if your computer has DVD Writer that allow you to burn the DVD.

2. If you do make sure that your PC has DVD Writer. Then you need to find out what kind of DVD format writer that you have? If your PC has DVD-R writer before you can use DVD-R media, or DVD+R writer for DVD+R media, and if you have DVD+R/DVD-R writer, then you can use both type media.

3. If you burn the SVCD/DVD, you might be able to play on your DVD player depends on what brand of DVD player that you have and if it is able to play SVCD-R/ CD-R/DVD+R/DVD-R/? Some old DVD player will not play CD-R/ DVD-R, if that is the case, you might just go to BestBuy/ CostCo to get a latest DVD player - cheaper ($29~ $59) one will play EVERYTHING)

Good luck!

JCW
