I put this post on anandtech to no avail, and thought I'd try it here -
I just got a Pioneer DVR-610, and it came with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3.5. Oddly, windows thinks the drive is a 110D, but that's not the problem. When I open MovieFactory, a list of tasks comes up - burn a movie, a data cd, a music cd, a data dvd, etc. However, whenever I click on a task, the window disappears, a mouse hourglass appears and reappears, and then nothing happens. After this point, my machine hangs up for all tasks. I cannot open folders, I cannot open the start menu - all I can really do is ctrl+alt+del, and it hangs up in that too. After a few power button restarts, I reinstalled the software - no change.
Some odd things to consider - the patch for this bundle on the Ulead website cannot find MovieFactory installed on my machine. Also, when I try to burn cds in media player, I get an unknown error. I only get hang-ups (and consistently) when I use MovieFactory - therwise, my system is practically bug-free. The RW drive is set to slave, my ROM drive is master, and they're both on the secondary IDE channel (I have an SATA HD). All I want to do is make a CD of 80s b3ats!
Are there any issues with this software that I should know about? Or could it be a hardware problem?
Any and all help is appreciated as always.

My condolences. My Pioneer A09 also came with MF3.5aimbot wrote:and it came with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3.5.
I check the forums from time to time to see if anyone has some good news about it, but so far NOTHING.
Version 3.5 apparently only comes bundled with some hardware, few have it, nobody cares about it.
