bunch of questions about making a slideshow and burning to DVD:
1. How do I build a new template? is there a web page somewhere that describes how to do it?
2. I found the trick to setting the [global] time duration for the pics -- but how about global setting for pan-and-zoom? global setting for transitions?
3. If there is *NOT* a way to build a new template, then how can I get same wipe effects, automatic pan-and-zoom, overlay, etc. onto a set of pics?

Are you going to share your trick with us. It may be useful.....I think you have to use Pan and Zoom on each seperate clipjmorgie wrote:2. I found the trick to setting the [global] time duration for the pics -- but how about global setting for pan-and-zoom? global setting for transitions?

But you can on some clips , right click and select ‘copy attributes’ then paste to another clip.
Not sure of the restrictions.

Hi
As to question 1 Please don’t shout.
As far as I know you cannot create a template for creating a slide show.
The procedure is quite easy, everyone will have there own ideas.
From File-Preferences-edit—set the default durations to 12 –4—4
In the General tab select ‘Use default Transition effect’—random
Insert all your images to the timeline.
Add a colour clip to the start and end of the project (x fade to first clip)
Add audio and titles
Done
2 / you can also change the image clip duration from the ‘Clip’ menu at the top.
3/ You can use shift / click to select a number of adjacent clips
Right click—copy attributes (if there are available to copy)
Right click –to paste.
