When I try to import from a DVD that I recorded on my cyberhome 1200 crap dvd recorder. It doesn't do it and gives me an error. Failed to open dvd report ID ox800402ff(2303). I tried 2 other discs one is a -RW and the other is a +RW. They both worked. The +RW that worked is a disc I copied from another disc in Nero on my computer. But The Cyberhome works with +RW and when I try to use those it can't open the DVD on Ulead. I was wondering if the discs I use on moviefactory have to be finalized. And since for some reason the dvd recorder won't allow me to finalize +RW discs. Why I don't Know. But I was just wondering if anyone knows how to fix that or if it's something else.

Hi,
You don't/can't finalize a DVD+RW disk.
Make sure the dvd reader/writer has DMA enabled.
You may be able to copy the contents to the harddisk and import from
the harddisk (that works on mine).
Also as a work-around you can share the dvd reader/writer and map
back to it using MS networking and assign a drive letter to it. Then
import the dvd from the mapped network drive.
It seems to import just as fast as direct access to the drive.
You can also share the dvd from another machine on the network and
import it from the mapped drive to the other machine.
Do you have any packet-writing software on the machine such as
Nero InCD or Sonic DLA. They conflict with MF4/Ulead Data-Add 2.
I was having problems importing but the latest patches fixed them.
