Menu selecting in Movie Factory 4

Post by mickcant »

Hi all,Having edited 3 videos with VideoStudio 8 to put on a DVD, with Ulead Movie Factory 4, when I get to the “Menu” function, what seems to be a default one with Cats on and 2 buttons on it.
I change this to one with 3 buttons and the woodland theme.

I then output to a DVD Video TS File, and then burn to DVD in Pal format with Nero 6.

When attempting to play the DVD, the menu I choose appears but when I click on any of the video buttons the menu changes to the original one with two buttons.

How can I stop this happening and go from my chosen menu to each video?
Thanks for any help.Mick. :?:

Just to clarify the situation.
How many clips are in the main timeline display? (I assume that would be 3)
Have you set chapter points in the main clips?

Maybe one of them is the title menu, the other the Chapter menu. You can delete the title menu, which always seems to default to the first template at the bottome of your screen, by unticking the option midway down the left of the screen.

Hi all,
Yes there were 3 movie clips in the timeline, and I had added chapters to all three.
I have re made the vido ts file, with my chosen menu, and did not add chapters and, can now play from each of the three video's ok.
Thanks for the quick helpfull replys,
Mick. :)

On the Menu screen, under advanced settings, you can select whether a main menu and/or chapter menu is used.

To customise the chapter menu, you access it with the drop-down under the preview screen.
