No image on running clips on VS9
I have recently upgraded from VS7 to VS9 since which time all works well except that when I cut the project into clips the individual clips show NO image when being run. They progress normally and the sound is OK. Also running the whole project gives a normal image. This is on XP Pro and with an nVidia GEForce 6800 card and Athlon 64X2 4200+ CPU and stacks of memory of all kinds
Hi Patrick,
do you really expect it to work on such a low end system?
Here are some thoughts to maybe kick things off.
Does everything else work, and can you successfully create an output file from the project?
Have you tried playing the problem clips in another program - Media Player, WinDVD etc?
Do they play properly if inserted into a new blank project?
Do the file sizes of the clips look right for the length of the clip and it's output settings?
What are the output settings and what is the format of the source material?
Did you buy the retail VS9 CD's or download an upgrade? If the former, you have the option to "repair" the installation.
Have you checked the event viewer logs. These might show missing files.
Does task manager show any odd services running?
