Titles

Post by randazzo »

When adding a title with a certain animation I'm not able to get the animation undone. In VS9 I can (un)check the animation box. How is this done in MSP8? Cannot find it.

With an animation applied you may have to scroll the titler timeline until the title layer you want to modify appears onscreen to select it, but once selected the text will get "boxed" and un-checking will zero it out.

This will probably also explain how I had difficulties to apply an animation. I allways clicked the checkmark to confirm that I had selected the animation I wanted. So I could apply animation only with difficult sequences of clicking here and there.
Berhaps Ulead should overthink that userinterface.

Personally I'd have used a standard Windows checkbox.

Box with no checkmark = disabled.

Box with a checkmark = enabled.

Having a checkmark there in BOTH states is confusing.

Consider it on my "suggestion" list for SP1.

Yes, or at least replace the icon of the checkmark with a red X (delete symbol).
But I would also prefer if it would be easier to switch between different effects, since I have difficulties to imagine from the small animated icons how the effect would look like. So I usually try several. But if an effect is applied it is not possible to simply apply an other. When I do that only the previous effect has been removed and I have to reselect and reapply the new one. (Or are I still doing something wrong?)
