Hi,
I'm sure this is a dreadfully simple procedure but I can't work it out.
I am using PhotoImpact 10. I want to make a selection from a photo that is polygon shaped (ie all straight sides). I can't seem to do it unless I manually use the lasso tool and trace over the object's edges. This works great for complex objects, but when I have simple objects to cut out - say hexagons, on large images, it is very slow and laborious. Please tell me there is an easier way to do this.
In other software I have used I could simple select the right tool and clock on the corners of straight sided objects to quickly define the area.
Thankyou
Mark

re: Polygon selections?
Is the polygon or outside of it made up of a single color? Why not use the "Magic Wand Tool"? If the similar color is outside the polygon, you can simply use "Invert" to make the selection inside the polygon.
