VS9 - Insert DVD video

Post by thad »

I want to make a "best of" DVD from some of my earlier created DVDs. Rather than re-transferring the video, I thought it would be easier to "Insert DVD" for my video. The current DVDs have chapters so I get the option of what chapters to import, which helps me pick out the video segments that I want to use. Each imported chapter gets inserted as a separate clip. Now I have breaks in my video where I don't want them. From my search results, it appears that I need to edit the clips and then Share-Create video in order to join them. Is there any other way around this? I'm open for suggestions on a different process too, if need be.

Thanks for any input.

Highlight two or more of the imported videos you want to join and click on the down arrows at the left of the edit screen to show the "join videos" option.

Dan,

"Ripple edit options" is the only thing I see. I can't find "Join" anywhere.

During my search, people mentioned using join after splitting by scene, but I didn't use that feature. In fact, that's the only place I've seen "Join" before.
