Sound is very bad in Movie Factory 4. Please help

I have used Movie Factory 4, MF4 to make several dvd files successfully. So my system was working okay two days ago.
I don't know what audio settings to use to capture good video that will play on all players. I can capture in either LPCM or meg1-L2 or LPCM. I tried meg1-L2 but MF4 was very slow converting to DVD. Then I tried using LPCM and made DVD much faster. A new problem has developed. I captured 2 hours of mpeg2 file with LCPM audio,(48 kHz) using ADS Instant DVD capture device and when I try to view in MF4 the sound is not understandable. It sounds like very much white noise with audio in the background)

This ADS capture device has worked well for over a year, using MF3. ALSO, when I opened the probelm file with either Real Player and MS Video Player the sound is clear. I removed and reinstalled MF4 and the problem continues. Can anyone suggest how to find out what went wrong and correct the problem? Why can’t MF 4 handle files that play good in Real player or Windows Media Player?
