itunes files are password protected MPEG4 files that will only work with Apples software. If you search the internet you will find several people have attempted and failed to rid them of what are termed Digital Rights Management (DRM) which is a system developed to prevent them being pirated.
They are what the Commercial DVD Industry were hoping Comercial DVD's to be - uncopyable. I believe that one person from Holland did manage to produce a crack but he is now languishing in prison!!

Try converting them to WAV files. A work around may be to burn your itunes to a CD, then use Video Studio to rip them. I did this with Napster files and it worked great.

BlackLab - Converting to WAV will let you grab the Audio, but what about the Video? Only way I could see was to use a screen recorder - not worth the hassle.Black Lab wrote:Try converting them to WAV files. Sorry, I thought the question was about music files.

Easiest way would be to play them and simply record them as you do so with a program like
Messer. http://www.dago.pmp.com.pl/messer/
Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Total Recorder http://www.highcriteria.com/
or any other similar software.
