Movie Factory 3.0 Questions

Post by Arnie105 »

I registered my store bought version of Movie factory 3.0 Se and Video Studio 8 DVD SE with serial number and all, and when I try to install the updates it still gives me the msg. that it can not find the program and the installation shuts down...

On a different note, is there a way to extend the animation time of the DVD menu to more than 30 sec. ? I would like to get 2 to 3 minutes...

Also it would be great to moove the thumbs around a bit, not be stuck with rigid temlates...

Interesting concept, where exactly did you buy the SE versions or did they come bundled with some hardware?

Some of the patches are only for the full version, not SE, and none of the patches work with the trial versions.

Have a good look at the Ulead download site for the patches. For MF 3 the patches are only for full version (retail) and ESD (download). On the VS site, this patch "VideoStudio 8 Update Pack (Build Number: 8.01, Release Date: 2004/09/06)" again is only for the retail or ESD versions. The other patches for VS should install though.

The ability to move and resize thumbnails is available in DVDMF 4.

Read the heading of the patch for DMF3 and VS8 on the download page.... there should be a note saying that is for FULL or SE (or sometimes both) only.

For the menus, DMF is limited to 30secs only. You should get DVD WorkShop 2 because the menus can extend to 254 secs.
