compression question MF 3.5

Post by benswets »

How can I recored 2 hours of material on a DVD in MF3.5? I have captured 2 AVI files from DV tape which are each 1 hour. I would like to make a 2 hour long DVD. My blank disk is called "4.7 120 min." But the only apparent length I can make is 60 minutes.

I forget the details but you certainly should have project settings for more than just 60min/disk. (Think it was still the gear icon in 3.5)

MF 3.5 does not provide the facility to fit a project to the disk. To do that you can use the free program DVDShrink, which does a good job of shrinking the VIDEO_TS files to fit. http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html

at the bottom part of the window open the project settings (alt+j) then click on the CHange MPEG settings.

Select the 120/4.7g template so DMf will compress the video
