Hello
I've avi-Typ2-clips (captured as typ2 with MCC). Rendering my project with MC-Codec Typ2 the Video-editor renders the "f/x" and then "good bye", will say VE close immediately. Any ideas why?
Thanks a lot and regards

- Which version of MSP you are using ?
- Are the codecs you have spoken from the originals or some external ?
- Which other software was running in background?
Right yesterday i captured with Pinnacles Studio8 3 hours video from a VHS to DV-PAL AVI Type 2 and put it on the timeline of MSP to add some effects, fade in and fade out and started the processing of three MPEG2 files.
Because i had done something wrong and the time becomes short, i put the original DV2 AVI into DMF3, made some cuts and created my DVD file structure and burned all to DVD.

My suggestion: try to capture with the default MS DV Type 2 CODEC in your capture software.
Or use the Video Capture module in MSP to capture your video.
Also please check if there is any other program running in the background, they might slow down the capturing performance and cause drop-frame problem, which will make the captured video to have problems in reading.
Hope this helps.

I've found the reason why. The audio-setting was PCM instead of DV PAL and with this setting VE does crash. With DV PAL it works fine.
There is only one difference. On a captured Type2-clip with MSP VC on the timeline the clip-thumbnail is ok, with SC LIVE captured the thumbnail is disturbed. After Rendering the clip is show ok except the FX-part which is disturbed.
Sincerely
