HOW DO I CHANGE MY PEX8.Image Extension BACK TO READ JPEG?

I have a problem and I want to know if you can help.

I used the Ulead Photo Explorer 8 and it works great but all my jpeg, eps, tiff, are all changed to PEX8.Image Extension. Well now I don’t know if they are jpeg or eps File Extension. How do I take off the PEX8.IMAGE EXTENSION so they will convert back to jpeg and eps and tiff extension? I uninstall the program , but it still has the PEX8.Image Extension at the end. And when I try to save it as jpeg it still show up as a PEX8.Image Extension.
