Hello,
I was trying to apply the patch downloaded from the Ulead site, but got an error message saying "Setup cannot find Ulead VideoStudio 9.0 installed on your system."
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

VS9 Patch cannot find Ulead VideoStudio 9.0 installed
Thanks for the response, but I didn't find a solution by searching.
All I found was that it does happen if you install the full application after uninstalling the trial, which is exactly how it should be done.

OK, obviously that didn't help
I assume that both of you have the full ESD and not Upgrade ESDs? - you don't specify, but it is probably a safe assumption given my story (in one of those posts) regarding my experience with applying patches in VS8.
A suggestion then - which may be difficult to implement - is to obtain an SE version of ULead VS i.e. when you purchase a firewire card for a computer you quite often find bundled in the box a SE copy of an earlier version of VS i.e. I got VS5 that way. Here in Australia, periodically, the local computer magazines put an SE copy of VS6 on the cover disc.
The patch might work if there is an earlier copy of VS installed on the system. I realise that it might not be easy to get such a copy, but you never know until you look around - a friend probably has one in the bottom of his drawer and didn't even realise it
Just an idea - probably stupid
But does reflect my experience when attempting to apply patches when I had VS8 (Upgrade) - the patches would not apply until I reloaded the VS5 that I had upgraded from. ULead supposedly fixed this problem with a further patch in VS8 (my VS9 patch applied without a problem - but then I still have VS6 and VS8 on my computer!
) - but you never know!
Sorry I can't be of more help,
Peter
