The problem mainly manifests when creating a second title in a project; the previous titles settings are still active in the new one. While this is annoying, and believe me I'll be writing to Ulead about it, it's also easy to resolve.
The following is my reply;
Hope this helps.Select the text so its bounding box is displayed. With text that has an animation applied you may have to scroll the titles timeline until it's visible. Once selected it will center itself to the window for modification.
When an animation is active the check-mark on the animation style tab should be highlighted by a blue box. Look carefully when you select one and you'll see it change.
Clicking on an active check-mark and the highlight will go bye-bye, resetting the animation to none. Type effects work the same way.
I've found it handy create a custom style for resetting them as well.
When MSPro 8 starts up opt for the Ariel font and whatever other defaults you want and click the "Add new title style" button. This will create a new thumbnail which you can rename to RESET. Now drag it to the first position in the list.
I use this to get back to zero faster than doing it manually.
