Hello everybody,
I use MSP for personal vacation/holiday movies. My projects tend to become bigger and bigger : last movie 1 hour and a half
Most of the time I work with 5 audio tracks Aa, Aa, A1 for footage audio, A2 for comments and A3 for music. A2 and A3 contain lots of small files; often I need to apply filters on all of them, since there are many it is a cumbersome job to apply, f.ex. an amplify filter, on 50 differents files. Is it possible to do this in one single manipulation ?
thanks for your support

How to apply an audio filter on an entire track ?
I'll assume you are using MSP 7.x
You could mute all other audio tracks (no check mark in the box in front of the audio track), then File/Create/Audio File (this works pretty fast). Then import the new Audio File on another track and apply your filter (mute the original).
You would have to save this as a last step, because if you apply additional edits, you would have to go through the trouble of re-exporting/importing the audio track.

I'd like to ask for help here too, and I'm using MSP8.
MSP8 has a separate 'Audio Mixing Panel' but, stupid as I may be, I can't figure out the relationship between this window and actually getting entire tracks (or the entire video, which is what I want) to be louder. I think I get it, but the interface doesn't assure me.
I'll try and clarify where I'm confused - even after reading help and the manual - which actually don't cover the basic functionality - only some specifics.
I want to make all the volume in my entire video, about 3 louder
Because everyone is complaining it's too quiet when they play it.
I opened the Mixing Panel and from here I can't really see how to make an overall change to everything.
I did a Edit|Select All (I dont know if this is necessary or not) and grouped the 4 audio tracks into 1 and then raised the 'Audio 1' volume (which is grouped) - ie Yes I read the manual first and more-or-less understand some of it
But, how can I be assured at this point that it's been applied as there's no save button or confirmation and I just have to close the dialog. From there when I play or preview the video, it doesn't 'Play' in the Audio Mixing Panel. To see the all important volume indicators, youd have to use the special controls in the Audio Mixing Panel.
So, I'm just left with this hollow possibility that my volume changes have been 'applied'. Am I missing something or is this all expected?
