In VS9 when editing audio using mixing panel I manually set slider control but over time program wants to reset itself to what it considers the correct level. eg if I set video track audio up past 0db it wants to force it within it's limits. How do I override this???
Cheers

Seabrook,
There isn't a way to override this. The audio mixing panel is designed for mixing your audio in real time, especially if you have a conversation going on in your video and you need to boost one person so they can be heard better. When you let go of the slider, presumably at the end of that person's speaking, the volume will go back to normal. If you want to increase the volume for the entire track use the Clip Volume Control. If you want to increase/descrease the volume for a length of time then use Volume Rubber Banding. The user's manual describes these techniques very well.
Hope this helps,
Ron
