Rendering time from VS7 to VS9
Is it normal for a 40 minute video (.vsp) to take over 8 hours to render even though it has titles, music, etc? This same amount of video would have taken about 1 hour in Video Studio 7.[/quote]

The simple answer is, no, it does not sound really normal. But since you have given us no further information about either the properties of your video project, the burn properties used, the specifications of your computer, anything else for that matter, it is difficult to say much more than this. I would also have to comment, though, that you would have to have a good computer to get the sort of rendering time you surmised could be obtained in VS 7 for a 40 minute project. Do you still have VS 7 on your computer, and have your tried it out?
