Video Capture - Stretched Preview Screen

Post by David_S »

When I capture from a DV camcorder using the Capture feature on the main MSP8 menu the preview screen is stretched sideways, though the captured video file is fine. Is there any way of setting the aspect ratio correctly in the Preview window?

I am capturing from a Canon PAL DV camcorder to AVI format 720x576, DV Type-2, PAL, but it makes no difference if I capture to MPEG.

When using the actual program Video Capture (i.e. not using the Video Editor menu) there is no problem.

In project settings check to see if you have selected 16:9 (widescreen) as opposed to the
'Normal' 4:3 aspect
