I try to create my DVD Workshop II projects so that all resources (videos, images, audio, etc.) needed for my project are under one main folder. I noticed that when I attempt to move this main folder (and all of its contents) to another location, keeping the entire main folder intact, WS no longer finds its resources. If I place the folder back to its original location, WS can then find all the resources. It appears that WS maintains references to its resources using global paths instead of relative paths.
Has anyone else encountered this themselves or am I just not doing something correctly?
I understand that this may be just a small thing, but sometimes it is good to be able to backup an entire project for archival purposes and then not be forced to restore it to the exact location and HD before being able to continue authoring or rebuild it.
I'm thinking that Ulead must have had a good reason for developing Workshop 2 this way and was wondering if anyone knew the reasoning behind it?
Thanks
