rendering quality of still images

I am thinking about uprading from Video Studio to Media Studio Pro 8. I downloaded the MSP8 trial version and when I save out my project the still images that overlay the video all look very jagged like they are all over sharpend. I have saved out the project many digfferent ways mpeg 4:3, 16:9, avi 4:3, 16:9 allways set to best quality in the rendering preferences.
can anyone help me fix this problem. I never had this problem in video studio.
