Hi all.
I have just gotten around to installing Ulead Movie Factory 3.0. It came with my Pioneer 8X8 DVD+-R/RW Writer.
I captured some video with my ATI TV Wonder VE, and saved it as an mpeg, and pulled it into UMF. I then deleted all the commercials, and burned it to a DVD. The DVD plays fine on my PC, but when I take it to my RCA DVD player hooked up to my TV, it runs about 10 minutes, then starts to experience worse and worse pixelation, and then it stops playing.
I have burned the DVD twice with the same results.
Any ideas?
I have not yet installed any of the updates/patches/burner updates.
Steve

Burning DVD's can be a hazarding gamble, if you don't know what you really happens:
My hints:
Don't use higher bit rates than 6000 for older players. Most commercial DVD's only use 6000, too.
Don't use the highest possible burning speed and use the right media. Use only the half to two/thirds of possible speed mostly will produce better readable DVD's which costs you only some minutes and reduce further stress.
Look periodically for updates for DMF and the burning patches /Fixes and burning engine.
In addition i use a small tool called IMGTOOLBURN, which uses the Nero burning API and is available for Nero 5.x and 6.x edition (only usefull, if you have one of the nero editions).
That tool reorganize an already existing DVD structure on your hard disk and burns it with the Nero API very well.
To create such structure with DMF disable the burning option and enable the "write DVD-structure" in the burning menu. Don't forget to enable the "normalize audio" option, too.
Hope that helps
