PAL source video creates NTSC VR disc??

Post by Lozzy »

I have PAL/SECAM set in the prefs, and added a 10min PAL clip from a DVD (720x576).
If I write that out to a VR disc (DVD-RAM), it reads as an NTSC clip in my Panasonic settop player, and so doesn't play properly.
Any reason why, other than a bug??

Lozzy,

which version you are using ?

Did you install the updates for your DMF and the burning patches and fixes of the burning engine?

Are you shure that you get the right data stream from the other DVD?

In my knowlege DMF cannot read NTSC and convert it to PAL.

Please check the Preference in DMF. Maybe you are having NTSC to be the TV Standard format in DMF.

1) it's version 3 disc creator

2) I have now, after much scratching of head to work out which updates I'm supposed to apply...I think it could be clearer.

3) absolutely sure

4) I agree conversion isn't possible, and yet it flagged the recording as NTSC (incorrectly) causing it to play erratically.

Thanks for all your guidance though, applying the patches and updates appears to have cured it.
