Chapter list resetting to chapter 1

Post by DarrenD »

I have DVDWS 2 Full Version 2.232 and have searched the forums here and at DMN Forums for this problem and couldn't find it. I used "delete chapter 1" in the search.

My problem is that I auto-added 30 or so chapters from my .MPG file and am now deleting some (my version of MediaStudio Pro 7.01 DVD Edition puts scene markers at cue points and also at every clip cut). I am working in the "Edit" section of the program with my title in the main window and the chapter list down the right hand side. If I scroll down to, say chapter 15, double-click it to goto the chapter in the main video display window and then press A or click "Delete chapter" the chapter list is refreshed and starts with chapter 1 at the top. I would have expected my deleted chapter to disappear and all subsequent ones to shuffle upwards. This is really bugging me as one file has 80 chapters that I have to go through; that's a lot of scrolling in the chapter list window! I have deleted too many to go back and use the "Join" feature of the auto-add chapter function (especially since I have already redefined many chapter thumbnails).

Eventually I put that title to one side and worked on the next title using the "Join" feature which was a lot easier to use, although the preview window is a bit small for me to see the date on the video to work out when a new day starts (holiday footage) and so to create a new chapter.

Is there a way to stop the chapter list resetting back to chapter 1 or do I have to live with it?

Thanks
Darren

P.S. Didn't I read about an administrator/moderator thread saying spec details would be added at the bottom of each post? I just previewed this post and my details are not there (I had to enter them when I joined the group).
