Apply the same overlay @ many clips?

Hi, i'm new in the forum and newest users of uvs8.

I would like to apply an same effect at many little clip in the same project without re-config the effectt all the time. It's the same problems for the overlay! If i would like process an overley for many clips, i re-config each manually with no precision for placement! What it's the process for adjust an effect (or ovelay at many clips)? OR if the clips follow can-i joined there for have only one longer clip?

This is an annoying "feature" of VS8 - you cannot "set" an overlay or effect. The only thing you can do - if it is feasible in your situstion - is to render the whole thing to one video file. Now you have one clip - if you load this new clip into a new project you can apply one effect or overlay to the lot.
If that isn't what you want to do then I'm afraid you're stuck with a lot of work.

An 'Overlay' can cover as many clips at a time as you wish - just put it in the overlay track and drag the yellow handle at the end until the overlay is as long as all your video clips.

Unfortunately, rwindeyer reply me just for my subject... and i seems impossible to have the same effects or overlay without re-compil a new film... (It's possible if the sequence follow but it's not always that... I would like do a post-it effect always in a same palce all a long my movie, i think it's difficult without take exactelly copy the same overlay...)

I hope uvs9 or an update think at this option

(BrianCee, i wouldn't re-cover clips but apply the exactelly same effect for my overlay multi-clip.)
