Hello:
Can I use VS9 to capture NTSC video then render it in PAL DVD format. I have done this and I don't get any error messages. When I reload the PAL DVD video it is 25FPS etc but it will not play on any of my PAL DVD players (I have several).
However, if I capture in PAL and burn a PAL DVD this plays fine on my PAL players.
Thanks in advance

You should be able to do it, and I'm not sure what may be the cause of your problem.Strtline wrote:Hello:

I would say, however, that encoding it to PAL will inevitably result in a quality drop.
I have burned PAL disks with VS8 in the past that played OK on set top DVD players in England. I've found, however, that most DVD players seem to be able to play both PAL and NTSC. When I make up discs to send back to blighty, I just make them NTSC, and they play fine on my relatives' set top players and PAL TV's, none of which are premium items.
