MSP 8 will not launch!

Post by kingfisher »

Just installed MSP 8. Installed o.k.
However on launching program error appears & program launch is stopped by windows.
Windows reports following error.

`Faulting application veditor.exe, version 8.0.0.0, faulting module ulmp3acm.acm, version 1.0.18.0, fault address 0x00003202.`

I previously installed the trial version of MSP 8. Which run o.k. & was uninstalled prior to installing the complete version of MSP 8.
I have unistalled & reinstalled several times. Cleaned the registry with reg. mechanic but always the same error.
MSP 8 does not even get past the initial Icon display.

Any suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Do as you have done before but before reloading, delete C:\program files\common files\ulead systems\ and all references to 8.0 and msp you can find on you c: drive. To be sure, Registry Mech is less reliable than Registrar Lite (freebie); you can use this to search the registry for all refs to msp, select them all, and delete them in bulk (backup, of course!). You will possibly find ~50 refs left after RM has done its work.

Make sure you have DirectX 9.0c installed correctly.

If this still doesn't work, then your install files may have a glitch (CD or download?)

Before reporting here on progress, please add your system details in Profile!
