Since I've been using VS, or DVDMF4, I've never attempted to print a jewel case insert/label. I don't put labels on my DVD/CD discs for fear of damaging them or the player...
When I tried printing one out (just on a test sheet of paper) it printed out full size 8-1/2 x 11 inches. I couldn't find any way to resize it to fit the size of the jewel case insert...
In doing searches I only find the pro/con advice concerning labelling discs. Could someone who has used either VS9 or DVDMF4 lend some instruction on this?
The only other info I can think of that may help is I use an HP Deskjet 950c for a printer. All other info can be found via the system button or my sig...
I'm trying to do one for my mother's birthday, which is this weekend...
Thanks..
Ron

I use SureThing CD Labeler for mine. They have insert templates that you can use in there. Plus if you ever do decide to label your discs, or use printable discs (my wife bought me a printer that does discs for my birthday) you can use this program too. I have used it for years and love it. You can download a trial version from the SureThing website, and that should get you through the weekend.

Thanks Heinz and TubaDad...
I have 2 programs, Media Face 4.0 by Fellowes and ExPressit 2.0SE. Both came with the package of labels. I see why they came free...
I'll have a look at Sure Thing...
I wish the Manual for DVDMF or VS had some direction in using the labelling functions, for that matter just better on everything. I kinda like the idea when you make a label it automatically places the songlist, movie titles. It just seems strange that you layout your label, then it prints out 8x11" rather then the size reflected in the template...
Thanks again

Hi Kadmus..
Ok, until reading your post no I haven't. I couldn't find anything written on how to use the darn labeling thing. When I open the labeling module, it has a red outline, like a jewel case. I then resized my image, and text to fit on the top half. That should be the front or back. However when I printed it out, the image was full size.
I did click on the customize, and created I guess a custom template, but can't find how to get to it. I did not export it from that point, maybe I should? When I close the customize, I'm right back to square one.
I'll play with it some more. What I have done in the interim, I found on one of the freebie programs, templates to use with M$ Word. So I created one using it. Not the best but I slid by...
Thanks...

It seems like an annoying riddle because i cannot seem to find an explanation about your "size" problem...even when i put an image to the half of the case borders (resized) i print exactly what i aim for.Maybe in the end it is a printer-mf4 matching properties' problem...i can't help any further i guess.
As for the "custom" after you make it you can find it somewhere at the bottom of the one of the various categories...just search and it will be there.
