DIVX v6.0 exporting problem (sorry if it appears 2 times)

I have WinXP Pro SP2 , P-4 2.4GHz , 1 GB Ram.. Intel Mobo. & Media Studio Pro v7.3

1) After I install Divx Pro codec (version 6.0) , UMSP can´t find the codec to export video into avi. Does some1 know why / how can i fix that ?
Version 5.2.1 works fine , but 6.0 can´t be detected.

2) Is it there a way to export video + audio using MP3 audio at higher quality than 56Kbps/stereo ? that´s the max quality for me now and it is very poor .

1. DivX should be in the AVI codec list.

If not and you're using version 6.00 this is because of an abortive attempt on DivX's part to force software makers to sign up as DivX partners. Fortunately the brooh-ha-ha over this seems to have given them second thoughts and now versions 6.03 and over will behave themselves..

Installing DivX Create 6.03 or later should fix your problem.

Also be aware that many DivX 6.x users are complaining that 5.x created smaller files.

2. dunno....don't use DivX that often. Prefer WMV9, mainly because it's "VC-1" version (aka: WMV_HD) will be in the DVD spec for Blue Ray.
