system details

Hi all

The buttons at the foot of the postings show profile, pm, email and now System.

Is the ‘system’ button a new addition, or have I just not looked

I can't say I had noticed that the Profile page has questions about one's system. I have now filled that part in too.

But as for the buttons, I have to say that I still can't see a System button on anyone's postings, including yours, Trevor!

ADDENDUM: After writing the foregoing, I thought perhaps the new button might only be visible after logging out and logging back in. But that didn't work either...

ADDENDUM BIS: FWIW, if you click on the Profile button under your (or anyone else's) name, then that has a new (?) section called System Information.

Well, Ken, there's now a System button under all of your posts, at least for me. Cool. I'll have to fill that in myself...

Hmmm... a mystery.

I still can't see anything under anyone's posts, including mine, apart from the previous Profile, PM, Email etc buttons. And I have tried logging off and back on, and restarting my browser...

EDIT: ... and now rebooting, again without effect (except for the fact that I was somehow or other also logged out of this Board when I started up the browser again!)

Ken what browser do you use? I use Firefox, and also tested in IE. Both show the system buttons. I see you have filled yours in...

Yes -- as you'll see, I have managed one of those too!! Though the System button still stubbornly refuses to appear for me...

All these new buttons and facilities are indeed intruiging - here goes nothing!

I have to say that I cannot see your system button either Ken - something we haven't done?

Curious, though, that it seems to be just us in the southern hemisphere -- apart, that is, from Heinz-Oz -- that can't see the new button anywhere...

In addition to my already cited acrobatics, I have now logged out, closed the browser and rebooted, then logged in afresh, and still no joy...
