Movie Factory 4 crashes when importing DVD.

Post by mattchime »

Can anyone help?

Just bought Movie Factory 4 and I'm trying to import from a DVD but the program crashes everytime!

Is there a fix for this?

And why oh why, if its a DVD Authoring program can't you add .VOB files?
Think this should be a minimal requirement does anyone else?

Hi,

Even I get this error:

Failed to begin VIO playback instance in the import DVD preview module. Report ID: 0x8004095a(2394)

Has anybody else got this error.

Please let me know if there is a solution. All previous versions of DVDMF have worked fine for me.

Thanks a lot for you help !!!

MovieFactory crashes while importing DVD

I also get the message " Failed to begin VIO playback instance in the import DVD preview module" when I try to add a DVD-video file from a Video-TS folder. I get the button for importing the file, but when I do I get no audio from the imported file. The video also freezes after about 9 seconds of playing but the preview shows that the video is still running. What is going on?

Video freezes while doing preview after importing DVD-Video

Post by bigdeebb »

I found my problem of the video freezing while previewing a DVD-Video file could be corrected by going to Enhance Video and tobbling the Mute/Unmute once on the Audio Tab. If I do this once the file no longer freezes. If I do it again the file then again freezes after about 9 seconds. Istill go not get any audio though out of the file. The file does play audio under any other DVD playback program.

The top link is for windows2000 & XP.
The 2nd link down is for win98 & Win_me.

Failed to begin VIO playback instance in the import DVD prev

I still get this message when I try and import the DVD-Video file. I got rid of the freezing problem by toggling the mute button under Video Enhancement/Audio. When I toggle it again the video freezes again. This is repeatable. I also still have no audio. I tried reloading the update patch from Ulead ( I had previously installed it), but I have the same problem.

How are you making these dvd's your trying to import.
Do you know the audio format? Look under properties for the video file.
