Capturing Hi8 video smoothly

Post by LarryB »

I am having a problem capturing Hi8 video into Ulead V9. The video capture is very jerky and the sounds bumps (cuts out momentarity). Is there a secret to capturing smoothly? Do the Project Properties need to be set and if so what are the setting. Preferences what parameter should I use.

How are you capturing the Hi8 -- using an external capture box or card, or through a digital camcorder as pass-through? What are the properties of the captured video -- format, Field Order etc? What project properties have you used? What are your computer specifications and operating system?
