Still pictures squashy looking

Post by mamamichigan »

Can anyone tell me how to correct this? I am making a dvd from still images and if i put them (fit to project size ) some look squashed. If i click keep aspect ratio they look right ,but then they have black around them and when shown on tv they do not fill the screen. I did a forum search but didn't come up with anything. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Use preference "Keep Aspect Ratio". This works only at the moment of insertion into the timeline, so you will have to insert all your sitll pictures again. :(

The images you use are not the same aspect ratio as your screen. You'll have to settle for a compromise, either have some of your images (portrait format?) sqashed or have the black bars.
Another approach would be to trim (crop) the worst offenders to a 4:3 aspect ratio.
