The Quicktime mov files that I bring into my project don't play correctly. I'm not Capturing them with from an external device. I took them from a Kodak Digital Camera. I bring them into the library then drop them on the timeline. From the Edit screen I can play the Clip fine but when I play the Project it plays extremely slow. Native mpeg and avi files play fine and everything else. Is there something different I should be doing with mov files?
One more thing. I tried bypassing the project and just going to Share>Create Disc then inserting the mov files with the Add Video option. When I do that the movie appears fine when I test it but then I get one of the following errors: "Failed to convert video" or "All or part of the video in the MPEG file is not compatible with this program".

try radtools
Maybe i wasn't patient enough to watch, but my version 8 wouldn't play MOV files at all in project mode (clips yes). I also have a kodak camera and mov files. I did a search through the PDF manual and there were no occurances of .MOV, so I assume it's not supported. I downloaded a freeware file called radtools.exe (google RADTOOLS) and it very simply converted MOV files to AVI files that do work in version 8. Hope that helps

Still open to any ideas
Thanks for the suggestion to try Radtools. I'll try that but I think that there is a solution with Ulead. When I looked through the documention I did find Quicktime as one of the formats that is supported. But there isn't any mention of it next to .AVI and .MPG files within the program so perhaps .mov files aren't supported very well.
