Hi
Well to start off with we need more information...
What "Dazzle clip"? What model of Dazzle is it? Does it use composite from VHS, then USB to your computer like most do?
Does your Dazzle capture device have the capabilty of transfering audio? You might have to connect the audio output from the VHS to the Line-In on your PC soundcard.
What are your system specs? WinXP, Win2000...
Have you checked to see if your sound properties in control panel are set to record line-in?
Give us more to work with please...
Ron

Many thanks for response. I'm using a Dazzle clip 90 on Windows Xp. Using a composite connection to USB to PC. It does transfer audio and works perfectly with Pinacle 9, but as I siad, the picture on VS9 seems to be better so I'd like to use that. I've got the usual red, white and yellow leadsfrom scart to dazzle clip 90, then USB into PC, plus an S Video lead that seems to make no difference wether used or not on either software. Also, the sound is quite 'bitty' with the Pinacle.
All responses greatfully appreciated.

I know you said it works perfectly well with Pinnacle, but does the device have a separate port on it for a small standard stereo plug? I ask because I have an external capture device which uses composite or S-video into it and USB out, but has a separate stereo plug for the audio. I connect a male-male stereo cord to the stereo plug at one end and the computer's line-IN at the other, and get audio that way. Without it, I get no audio even though the composite cords are all attached to the device.
If your VHS machine has S-video OUT, then you might get marginally better video quality in your capture if you use that instead of the yellow video composite/SCART connection. But you will still need the audio composite/SCART connection as S-video never carries the audio signal.
