Device not ready errors

I have burned several sessions using VS7. Suddenly I am getting "device not ready" errors. Not only is this annoying, but you lose the rendering that was done, and it has to be rendered again, a time consuming process.

Does anyone know why these errors come up? I can burn a CD using Easy CD creator on the same drive, so I think it is a software bug, as opposed to a hardware glitch.

Any thoughts?
