I've recently installed SP2 and would like to know how I can use 'recording date & time' (p. 3 of What's New in "Release Notes").
The second question is about 'Album Transition' - among the transition effects I have now a new folder entitled 'Album', but it's empty. When can I learn more about this feature? How to activate it, what does it do, etc.
MSP7 SP2: Recording Date & Time; Album Transition

@chtchege,
I use it very rarely because of the (in my opnion since years) poor and complicate handling. Mostly i use scLive (a very fine and powerful capture ansd playback tool with best picture quality picking options) for capturing or sometimes Pinnacle Studio 8 for some projects, but its in DV2 then (what don't disturb, because MSP can work with that, too.
For the "album" effect have a look into your vfx_plug folder if the file "album.vfx" exists (C:\ProgramPath\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0\Vfx_plug)

Same problem here. I cannot found that function, but maybe the video must captured with uleads video capture from the 7.2 version ?Date/time Display - Display the recording date/time of your clips in the Media Library, great for grouping and finding the clips you need

It's there ok, and there is an empty folder in the "Transition Effects" tree of the "Production (?) library"... Problem is that I don't get the point of it. (BTW, the video filters described in the SP2 Release Note are present and quite straight-forward as far as their functionality is concerned; but this one...)videomartin wrote:

What you can do (its not 100% shure) is the following:
Close your MSP.
Move with your Explorer to the directoy
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0\Ulead.dat
Look for the file: EFFBAS.TEG and rename it to EFFBAS.OLD (to be on the secure side of life).
Restart your MSP (that may take now longer, because the EFFBAS.TEG must rebuild now competely) and look afterwards if you have the album in the album directory of the effects.
EFFBAS.TEG holds all the effects, video and audio filters. Important: the filenames for such files must use the old 8.3 convention.
If you will have an effect with a longer name, you will get stress.
Hope that helps you
