I'm trying to decide between the download version and the boxed version.
If the boxed version has a manual, I'd prefer to go that way.
If not, is there any advantage of boxed over download?
Thanks All,

One huge advantage that the boxed version has over the dowload is the ability to use Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Videostudio -> Change/Remove -> Repair -- this option is not available with the ESD version, and could potentially save you a complete reinstall. I used it successfully after uninstalling the Mediastudio 8 trial version, which apparently removed some DLLs that are shared between the two products.

I'm sure it's a very nice glossy box - if the VS8 box is anything to go by!
There's also the little booklet "Digital Video Basics" which is well worth a read, and you can probably avoid most of the hassles that many posters report in installing extra themes and DVD templates with the download versions.
THoff's remark about the repair option is very relevant. I just had to repair an install of Paint Shop Pro on my daughter's laptop, having discovered there was a problem with it from event viewer.
