Seconds turn into minutes VS 9!

Post by randazzo »

I'm experiencing a strange phenomena.

My MPEG file from 55 minutes behaves as if it's 55 seconds long??? When viewing the file in an external player like windows media player it plays as it should.

In VS 9 the minutes run like seconds and the whole video atucally ends after 55 seconds!

Thanks,
Jean-Pierre

Please respond quick because if I'm finding myself in some sort of time-lapse or wormhole my time is running short and I will be aging very rapidly

Sorry, title should have been. "Minutes turn into seconds"

My brain must be affected already.

Very odd. When trying to access the mpeg file in Mediastudio Pro 8.0 the same thing happens. Minutes turn into seconds.

But! When I open the file on another pc in my home network everything shows correctly.

Could this have to do with my mpeg encoder on my pc being corrupt?

However, with another viewer there's no problem.

Welcome in the strange world of video-editing! New and unaspected problems rise from everywhere like mushrooms. I sure do not envy the people from the help-desk at Ulead.

Check your "Preview Range Handles" to make sure you are selecting the entire video and not just a small portion of it.

Nope.

Even when I drag the mpeg file into a new project. The time shows as 55:67:17.

Now when I press play it runs something like 00:55:67

It is possible the MPG header is corrupted. Try running it through Womble

Well, the problem is that it shows up with every mpeg file that I ue as a clip.

When I play it per clip in Ulead: minutes behave like seconds. When I play the project then it runs fine.

As i come to think of it. This showed up after installing MSP 8.0. I guess I'll have to reinstall VS 9.0. Must have to do with Ulead's codec which turned corrupt or something.

I uninstalled VS9 and MSP8. After reinstalling it worked as it should be.

No clue.
