Smartsound full Spectrum not working but Blockbuster CD does

Guys,
i have a very wiered problem here.
After reinstalling VideoStudio8 my Smartsound full Spectrum audiofiles don´t work. I can select them in the Editor. I can place them into the timeline at the correct length but they are silent.
Next i installed my Smartsound Blockbuster CD and this additional music is working without problems.
I have the smartsound plugin version 3.0.2.7 installed, Quicktime 7.03 and the latest videostudio8 patch.

any ideas?

I've found their staff to be very helpful with oddball issues of this sort.

And i also contacted Smartsound a week ago but havn´t heard anything yet.

Hmmm... usually they're really fast, like same day response. You might try emailing them again or better yet, give them a call and see if they'll let you talk to a tech-support person. Worked for me a few weeks ago

Some users (myself among them) have had better luck with QT version 6.5. It's still available for DL at http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/quicktime.html

Works great with SmartSound but unfortunately is not compatible with iTunes 6.

Oh i have itunes installed so QT6.5 isn´t an option .
And i guess that calling the tech support from Germany isn´t that cheap too but i will mail them again maybe it helps.

Have you the disc version of Video Studio 8?
With the Disc Version of Video Studio 9 you can navigate to
E:\Program\UVS9\Smartsound

"Where E is your DVD/CD drive letter and you can just re-install smartsound, This will not affect any extra smartsound you have purchased.

Don't know if the Video Studio 8 set up disc is the same, as mine is now stored away in the loft somewhere

I had a similar problem and was able to fix it.
